Tsagarada actually consists of four smaller towns ... Agia Paraskevi, Agia Kiriaki, Agio Stefano and Agioi Taxiarhes. Located on the eastern side of the Pelion Peninsula, at an altitude of 450 meters, Tsagarada provides some truly wonderful views.
	Tsagarada is a village that is ideal for your Pelion holidays throughout the year. During the summer months, visitors can head to the nearby beaches of Mylopotamos and Fakistra, which are two of the most beautiful beaches in the entire Peninsula. Spring and summer see the village filled with gorgeous nature and vegetation, with beautiful colours and aromas filling the environment. During the winter months, the village is covered in a blanket of pure white snow, creating a very different appearance, yet one that is just as inspiring and beautiful. There are some very interesting places and sites to see around Tsagarada, and "Ranias Rooms" make the ideal base from which to explore the village, and it's immense natural beauty.
Tsagarada is a very traditional village, and one filled with delightful cobblestone paths which take walkers on a wonderful journey through some of the charming main squares of the village. There are also many spring water fountains around the village where one can drink the crystal clear waters. The main square of Taxiarhes, which is very close to where we are located, is one where you will find the famous 1000 year old plane tree, with its diameter of 14 meters. This unique tree is simply inspiring when you realise just how large it is. There are also several very beautiful churches scattered around the village that are well worth visiting if you have the opportunity. One should also try and see the "old secret school" that operated during the Turkish occupation of Greece. This school, and also the chapel of Panagias of Megalomatas, are actually built inside a cave.
